Two walks around the world

Jean Béliveau is now crossing Europe, aiming towards Eastern Europe, and is in his sixth year of 12 of his around the world walk, yet only on his second Chariot. While in Paris, he was honored by the United Nations for his efforts to promote world peace. He left Quebec, Canada in 2000 to promote “Peace and non-violence to the profit of the children of the world.” At an average rate of about 33 months per continent, Jean has walked further than anyone with a Chariot. Currently, a Cheetah 1 has been his faithful companion, carrying all his 35 kg of gear, and he says “this Chariot has crossed all of Africa, parts of Europe, and it is doing just fine.” Jean is right on schedule, having walked about 37,000km, half-way around the world. Jean is in great shape, happy and is determined to finish his wwwalk in Montreal in 2012, with 75,000km on his soles – and Chariot
